The Rowan County Coroner’s Office has identified the man found deceased Wednesday afternoon along Rock Fork Road near the Fleming County line as William Loren Manning, 41, of Morehead.
Emergency crews responded just after noon following a call to Morehead 911 Dispatch reporting that a motorist had discovered a body along the roadway. Upon arrival, authorities located Manning and pronounced him dead at approximately 1 p.m.
According to the coroner’s office, the cause of death remains pending autopsy and toxicology results. At this time, officials say no foul play is suspected.
The death remains under investigation by the Rowan County Coroner’s Office and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
