The White Settlement Police Department announces multiple arrests in the homicide of 33-year-old Savanna Parker, who died from multiple gunshot wounds during a home invasion burglary on Friday, January 30, 2026, in the 600 block of Meadow Park Drive. These major arrests are the result of significant investigative work, license plate reader and video technologies, and extensive collaboration and assistance from our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.
Following the homicide, the department leveraged license plate reader technology and video cameras obtained from private and public sources (digital doorbell footage, security cameras at public buildings, and citizen-provided video) to identify the suspect vehicle that fled the scene.
With the information that identified the vehicle, detectives worked with the Fort Worth Police Department Real-Time Crime Center to further review an extensive network of license plate readers and cameras across North Texas to assist in fully identifying the suspects. Investigators were able to identify the shooting suspect as a juvenile offender. A delinquent conduct capital murder arrest warrant has been obtained for this juvenile. Due to the Texas Public Information Act and Texas Family Code related to the confidentiality of juvenile information, no identifiable information regarding the juvenile offender can be released by the City of White Settlement.
Investigators determined that three individuals arrived in a vehicle that was parked on Whitney Drive, which is west of the residence where the homicide occurred.
The vehicle was driven by Marissa Nicole Ocon and the direction of travel from Fort Worth, to the entry of our city, and exiting our city was captured by license plate readers and/or video systems.
Two male suspects exited the parked vehicle on Whitney Drive and walked up to the residence.
At least one male suspect entered the residence by forcing entry through a door on the south side of the residence and began to ransack the location appearing to look for something or someone.
The other male suspect is believed to have stood outside in the yard.
Both male suspects wore hooded sweatshirts, gloves and face coverings.
One of the residents, later identified as the victim, confronted the suspects and started recording video on her cell phone.
As the juvenile male suspect exited the home, he turned and fired a handgun striking the victim multiple times. The victim later died at the hospital.
Following the home invasion burglary and shooting, the two male suspects ran back to the waiting car and fled the city.
Detectives with the Fort Worth Police Department, Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, and the White Settlement Police Department began working through the video, license plate reader information, and other evidence to determine where the suspects resided.
On Friday, February 6, 2026, 23-year-old Marissa Nicole Ocon was taken into custody after officers set up surveillance in South Fort Worth and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. She has been charged with one count of Capital Murder.
Also on Friday, February 6, 2026, the Texas Department of Public Safety Special Response Team assisted the White Settlement Police Department in the execution of a search warrant in the 8300 block of Horned Maple Trail in South Fort Worth. The resulting search yielded significant evidence that further solidified this case investigation.
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, 31-year-old Maribel Apodaca-Guzman, an associate of one of the suspects, was arrested at a residence in the 1300 block of Burmeister in South Fort Worth by the White Settlement and Fort Worth Police Departments. She has been charged with one felony count of Hinder Apprehension or Prosecution. She remains in the Tarrant County Jail.
Also on Saturday, February 7, 2026, the vehicle used to drive to and from the shooting scene was located in Dallas and transported back to the White Settlement Police Department for processing on Sunday.
On Monday, February 9, 2026, 17-year-old Julian Xavier Ramirez was arrested at a school facility in the Lake Worth I.S.D. by the White Settlement Police Department and Texas Rangers. He has been charged with one count of Capital Murder.
The juvenile remains at large and is believed to be in Mexico. The department is working with the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, El Paso Police Department, Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety to bring the juvenile offender back to the Tarrant County Juvenile Court.

White Settlement anuncia 3 arrestos en el tiroteo fatal de Savanna Parker
El Departamento de Policía de White Settlement anuncia múltiples arrestos en el homicidio de Savanna Parker, de 33 años, quien murió de múltiples heridas de bala durante un robo a domicilio el viernes 30 de enero de 2026, en la cuadra 600 de Meadow Park Drive. El juvenil sigue en libertad y se cree que está en México.
