BRIDGEPORT, Texas (WKRC) – A woman allegedly shot her husband multiple times, killing him, to make good on her promise that if he ever laid a hand on her, she would make sure it was the last time he ever did so.
Deputies with the Wise County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from a man who said his daughter-in-law murdered his son the night of February 1, 2026.
Authorities arrived to find 45-year-old Sandy Michael Williams standing on her front porch, the affidavit said. Williams reportedly complied with the deputies’ demands and did not resist arrest. Investigators searched the home and found the body of Williams’ husband, Michael Thomas, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
During questioning, Williams told police that she and Thomas had been married for three years, and she previously told him that if he ever laid a hand on her, she would make sure it was the last time, the affidavit said. Williams claimed that on February 1 she and Thomas got into an argument that turned physical when he grabbed her by the ponytail and threw her to the floor.
Williams claimed that Thomas went upstairs, during which time she grabbed a firearm and followed him before shooting him multiple times.
My intent was exactly what I did,” Williams reportedly said. “I was done, when I tell you I was done, I was done.”
Investigators asked Williams if she intended on killing her husband in the shooting, to which she allegedly responded, “I absolutely hoped I would.”
Williams was charged with one count of murder.
