Judy Green Car Accident BATAVIA, New York — Judy L. Green, 80, of Batavia, was seriously injured late Friday morning following a two-vehicle collision on Wortendyke Road, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred at approximately 11 a.m. on Wortendyke Road between Rose Road and Pike Road in the Town of Batavia. The Genesee County Emergency Dispatch Center received a 9-1-1 call reporting a motor vehicle accident involving serious physical injuries.
Investigators said the collision involved a gray 2022 Dodge Ram pickup truck and a black 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. The Dodge Ram was traveling northbound and was operated by Jed A. Balduf, 47, of Alexander. The Chevrolet Equinox was traveling southbound and was driven by Green.
As a result of the impact, Green became trapped inside her vehicle and had to be extricated by the Town of Batavia Fire Department. She sustained serious physical injuries and was transported by Mercy EMS to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that both vehicles were occupied by their sole drivers at the time of the crash. The cause of the collision remains under active investigation by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team.
Assisting at the scene were members of the Town of Batavia Fire Department, Mercy EMS, and several bystanders who provided immediate aid. Officials have not released further details as the investigation continues.
