Suspect Arrested in Balch Springs Armored Car Robbery Outside Chase Bank; Employee Critically Injured

Balch Springs police have arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred outside a Chase Bank on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. The suspect’s identity has not been disclosed. During the incident, an employee of an armored car company was critically injured and remains hospitalized.
The shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. as the armored car employee was servicing the bank’s ATMs. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, and it remains unclear whether they escaped on foot or by vehicle.
