CHICAGO, Ill. — Shawnquanice Kimbrough, 34, was tragically shot and killed on February 3, 2026, in a UIC parking garage on the 1100 block of Wood in the Medical District on Chicago’s West Side.
According to UIC Police, Kimbrough was visiting UI Health for an appointment when the shooting occurred. Her baby was in the back seat of her vehicle at the time. Police are treating the incident as a possible domestic-related situation.
Investigators are actively gathering evidence, reviewing security footage, and interviewing witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting. No suspects have been publicly identified.
