UPDATE: Two Men Identified After Fatal Early-Morning Shooting on Williamson Road SE in Roanoke

UPDATE: Detectives with Roanoke Police Department are investigating a shooting that left two men dead early Sunday morning.
On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at approximately 1:33 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Williamson Rd SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located two men with gunshot wound injuries in a parking lot. One man died at the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
They have been identified as 26-year-old Alex Maleek Andrews and 32-year-old Christopher Dominique Banks, both of Roanoke.
The preliminary investigation determined Banks was in the parking lot in the 200 block of Williamson Road SE when he was approached by Andrews. An argument broke out between the men, and the shooting occurred.
